Fieldskills Ltd is a UK based training company. We provide a wide range of training courses for adventure and expedition travellers, businesses, researchers, students, expedition leaders and many others.
We provide down to earth, hands-on, practical training for overseas
expeditions and fieldwork including our Expedition Leadership Training Weekends. This established and unique course covers hard and soft expedition skills,
and alongside skills for planning and
leading expeditions such as dynamic expedition
risk assessment, field safety and crisis management planning. We also offer environment
specific training
for environments such as jungle and tropical forest, desert,
savannah and mountain.
We are specialists in fieldwork safety training for Universities and other research bodies.
We also provide first
aid training. Our courses are nationally recognised and use up to
date protocols and scenario based training to allow businesses, researchers and travellers to get the most
out of the courses. Our courses include emergency
first aid, outdoor
first aid and first
aid at work.
As well as running open courses we specialise in designing bespoke
in-house courses for a range of universities, schools, expedition
companies and other organisations.

Fieldskills Adventures specialise in adventure travel and expeditions. From our UK base and through our sister company - an inbound travel agent in Sabah, Malaysian Borneo - if you are looking for mountain biking, jungle trekking, camping, kayaking, white water rafting or just to get off the beaten track in low impact and social responsible small group tours then we are the people to speak to.
We work with a number of major tour and travel companies in Designing
itineraries and providing project
sourcing and logistical support. Our support services range from
supporting a small school group in finding a worthwhile local project
as part of an expedition through to designing small group adventure
travel itineraries or multi activity charity challenges for major UK
clients.
For individual travellers we offer a small number of unique expedition adventures in the UK, in Borneo and elsewhere around the World. Our trips include Lake District Expedition Weekend, Desert expedition trek, Mountain Bike Circumnavigation of Mount Kinabalu and a unique Borneo Three Peak Challenge.
We even have a specialist rigging company in Borneo as part of our group who specialise in supporting researchers, adventure travellers and TV crews getting safely into difficult spots in the mountains or the jungle canopy.
