7 day trip - climbing Jebel Toubkal and experiencing the beauty and fascinating culture of Morocco.
Our marketing intern and ongoing freelance staff member Izzy Jones, did one of her first expedition jobs on Toubkal and her reports suggested it was somewhere we needed to be! So we've joined forces with Paul Lewis of Peak Mountaineering to run a trip to Toubkal for 2012.
Jebel Toubkal is a fantastic peak with all the ingredients for a great adventure. At 4167 metres the mountain is the highest peak in North Africa. It is also a beautiful mountain with an interesting ascent line and fantastic summit views. Toubkal is an ideal mountain for anyone – those new to mountaineering will love it and those with some mountaineering experience will still love it.
Toubkal is situated in the amazing North African country of Morocco which gives a further bonus of being very accessible for a short haul expedition from the UK. Having said that, don’t let that closeness fool you – once you experience the uniqueness of Morocco you’ll feel like you are somewhere very different – the friendly locals, the sights and sounds of the souks and the stunning countryside. This really is a special trip.

What our staff say - Izzy Jones:
"I love being in the mountains. For me there is nothing better than being able to wake up from a roof-top night under the stars, to see the first rays of sun slanting through jagged peaks that in a few days I'll be properly in amongst. All with the muezzin's eerie call to prayer drifting on the morning breeze. It sounds idyllic, and it was." Read Izzy's full account of her Toubkal experience.
